View pages offline -When you want to view pages offline conveniently, place them in your favorites list.
Steps to customize cookies:
1. Connect to the internet and access the page.
2. Click Favorites in IE.
3. Add to Favorites.
4. In the name field enter the page name or default name.
5. Create a new folder or select an already created folder.
6. Click the “Make available offline” checkbox.
7. Click OK
8. To access pages when you are offline, click Favorites.
9. From drop down menu click folder & select page title

Cookies – Cookies are small test files that some websites store on your hard disk.
Use of cookies: Notifying you of new content, storing certain registration information, and customizing the site. Note: Some sites may store cookies to use your personal information without your consent. So you can adjust your browsing settings to allow cookies only from sites that you think are safe.
Steps to customize cookies:
1. Click tools
2. Click internet options
3. Click the privacy tab
4. Move the slider to set the privacy level for the Internet Zone. There are three levels High, Medium and Low. We recommend the intermediate level which is suitable for most users. Check mid-level internet sites for privacy policies, compare privacy policies to my preferences, allow all websites to use cookies, do not allow unsatisfactory third parties to use cookies, and are compatible with most websites.

Access recently visited websites without typing URLs –If you want to access recently visited sites again, click the down arrow to the right of the address box and select a web address from the drop-down window.

You also access a recently visited site again, typing in a few words of the address. Internet Explorer automatically brings down a window with a list of web addresses that match the words you type. Select a URL from the list and Press Enter.

Cache Size –Browser temporarily stores pages in your hard disk which is called cache. If the page is available in cache, internet explorer fetches the page from cache, not from the remote web server. Therefore you can increase the size or cache to store more pages in it. This helps when you re-access certain pages which display more quickly.
Steps to increase cache size:
1. Click Tools
2. Click Internet Options
3. Click the settings button
4. Drag the “Amount of disk space to be used” slider to the right on the settings dialog box.
5. Click the “Automatic” radio button under check for the latest version of the saved page. Selecting the “Automatic” radio button IE automatically checks whether the cached and server versions of the page are the same.
6. Click OK.

Set Internet Explorer Start with a blank page or another page.
Steps to set Blank page:
1. Click Tools.
2. Click Internet Options.
3. Home page frame, Click use blank button. The address field is filled with the text “about: blank”. Click the Apply Button.

If you want to open your favorite web page every time internet explorer opens (example: https://sdiwc.us/). Type the web page URL in the address field and click the apply button.

Limit Bad Sites –Steps to limit some bad sites access from your computer.
1. Click Tools
2. Click Internet Options
3. Click the Security Tab
4. Click the “Restricted Site” icon.
5. In the “Restricted Sites” dialog box, type the url of the site you want to add to the restricted zone.
6. Click Add. Click OK.

Use of History Button –The history button is useful for accessing sites that you have visited a week or two weeks ago.
1. Click History Button.
2. In the History panel, click the week of your choice. IE lists all the sites you accessed that week.
3. Click the site URL, the title of the page you are browsing is displayed.
4. From the list, click the title to display the page.

You can also search for pages from the history list.
1. Click Search Box in the History Pane
2. Type the word/phrase
3. Click the Search Now button.

Secure Browser – You can increase the security of your browser to prevent unauthorized access to your login, credit card and other private information.

1. Click Tools
2. Click Internet Options
3. Click the Advanced tab
4. In setting window, Under security category
5. Click the checkbox of your choice to enable the security options it represents.
